Stuffed quark dumplings

Ingredients

For 4 persons:

1 Lemon

250 g low-fat quark cheese

1 egg

100 g flour

100 g durum wheat semolina

100 g breadcrumbs

150 g powdered sugar

8 tsp. Darbo all natural double-fruit elderberry plum jam

25 g poppy seed

50 g butter

 


Preparation

Wash the lemon hot and grate half of the peel. Mix the quark and egg in a bowl. Stir in the flour, durum wheat semolina, breadcrumbs, 100 g powdered sugar and lemon peel. Knead together into an even dough. Let sit for an hour. Divide the dough into 8 portions and form each portion into a flat discs. Add 1 tsp. Darbo all natural double-fruit elderberry plum jam to the centre and form into dumplings.

Boil a large pot of water, add the dumplings, and cook at low heat for about 20 minutes. In the meantime, grind the poppy seeds coarsely in a coffee grinder or mortar. Let the butter foam up in a pan and stir in the poppy seeds with the remaining 50 g of powdered sugar. Remove from the heat. Divide the dumplings on four plates, pour over the poppy seeds and serve warm.
