Forest Honey Parfait à la Darbo
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups water
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup Darbo All Natural Forest Honey
- 1 cup orange juice
- 2 tbsps lemon juice
- 1 tsp grated orange peel
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch cinnamon
- 6 tbsps grenadine
- 9 tsps kirsch
- 9 tsps brandy
- whipped cream
- chopped pistachio nuts
Method:
In a frying pan, combine 1 ½ cups of cold water, ½ cup of sugar and ½ cup of Darbo All Natural Forest Honey and whisk together thoroughly. Then bring the mixture to the boil and leave it to boil for 2 minutes without stirring. Then take the frying-pan off the heat and stir in the orange and lemon juice, the orange peel, the salt and the cinnamon, mix together well and then strain it all through a cloth. Then place the mixture in an ice bowl in the freezing compartment of a fridge or in a freezer. To serve, three-quarter fill 6 iced glasses with the mixture and then first of all pour 1 tbsp of grenadine and then on top of that - over the back of a spoon so that it does not mix together - 1 ½ tsps of kirsch and 1 ½ tsps of brandy. Finally, squirt a ring of whipped cream around the inner edge of the glass and sprinkle on chopped pistachio nuts.
