Changing the guard at Darbo
Darbo, the Tyrolean food manufacturer, has a new chairman of the board.
Klaus Darbo has been running the company since 1970,
and is now handing over to his son Martin Darbo (31) and leaving the board.
A few weeks ago, the Darbo family acquired a block of shares in the company from the Swiss Hero group. Since then, most of Adolf Darbo AG has been back in the family's hands. Klaus Darbo decided to make this transaction the occasion to hand the chairmanship of the board over to his son Martin, who is already responsible for the company agendas. Adolf Darbo will remain on the board.
Under the leadership of Klaus Darbo, the Darbo company developed from being a regional supplier to Tyrol's gastronomy to the Austrian market leader for jams, marmalade and honey. Today, Darbo exports to more than 60 countries. The sales target for the current business year is 100 million euros.
