History
The Darbo family started making preserves in the pre-war Austrian town of Görz, in 1879. In the more than a century since the founding of this family company rich in tradition, the Darbo name has become synonymous with the careful and skilled preparation of top-quality fruits. These many years of experience, coupled with the innovative strength of a dedicated team, led in 1993 to the opening-up of a new sector in the fruit-processing industry: that of fruit preparation for dairy products.
The bar was set high: Only the best fruits should be used for refining dairy products. Through a combination of experience, skill and creativity, our aim is to make products of the highest quality. This is a policy that in just 10 years saw our fruit preparation operations expand from employing 3 people initially to become an independent division within the company employing over 50 people with an annual capacity of 12,000 tonnes. Ongoing investments ensure state-of-the-art fruit processing.
Many customers at home and abroad appreciate the excellent quality of the ingredients, our product creativity and - not least - the company's flexibility and customer-friendliness. These are goals which are reflected in our company policy.
