History
The Darbo family started making preserves in the pre-war Austrian town of Görz, in 1879. During the war the Darbo family moved to the town of Stans in the Tyrol and began to concentrate more and more on making high-quality foodstuffs.
After the Second World War, the growth of tourism saw demand rise for preserves and honey in catering establishments. Darbo gradually became the Number 1 company in this field, and guests from near and far could now enjoy Darbo produce at the breakfast table. Klaus Darbo took over the company in 1970.
Top international catering establishments have for many years been customers of Darbo's high-quality preserves, fruit spreads, honeys and fruit syrups.
